Singapore Sunday 21st June 2009

Founded in 2005 as JoomaGroup with well known entities in the Joomla Open Source Community;  Joomadesk, Joomastudio and Joomaserver, the rapid  growing  Joomagroup of Companies has become a household name in the Joomla community. Currently comprised of 12 professionally trained developers and web designers, JoomaStudio has thus far designed, built and maintained over 700 websites. The JoomaDesk Support and Services Division, with 16 high skilled technical engineers, published over 60 Joomla Tutorials and support at present ongoing 3,800 customers and the dedicated technicians have provided help and support for over 17,000 technical cases resolving issues for their clients.  The group provides Support 24/7 in all time zones in the world from its Regional Centers of Excellence and Customer Service Centers in Netherlands, Canada, Singapore and Bali.  The JoomaServer division of JoomaGroup provides specialized CMS hosting services, including world-class outsourced server-application management for Joomla, Drupal, phpBB, SMF, Wordpress installations.

The ever increasing global orientation, decentralization and the market driven decision to cease support services to the Mambo platform initiated a decision for a full rebranding of the corporate identity. Careful consultations with the large customer base (The Group supports over 6,000 clients per date), its wide Allied Partner Network and its Marketing and Pr-Advisors the all new branded

Global Web Services Group

has been established and is launched after several month's of preparation with immediate effect. The new entity GWS-Desk.com (http://www.gws-desk.com) will care for all its current and future clients, who are supported 24/7 in all time-zones by the high quality dedicated technical support division of the Group's division (formerly joomadesk.com). The GWS-Studio.com (http://www.gws-studio.com) Professional CMS Design & Development division with its 12 highly regarded web-developers will continue to serve the market with top-notch and high quality web-sites as they have been doing under the previous label (joomastudio.com).  GWS-Host.com (http://www.gws-host.com) will continue to provide specialized and dedicated CMS hosting solutions to the ever growing CMS-client base with it's high quality and redundant backbone infrastructure from Texas - USA. (formerly known as joomaserver.com)

leosmallFounder and CEO of the GWS-Group Leo J. Lammerink (53), a Dutch national with 30 years of experience in IT, Telcom and Online Marketing explains the advantages for the company and its clients: " Since the early Mambo-CMS days and also after the split to Joomla in 2005, we have maintained interest in Joomla and have been commercial successfully active in this exciting CMS - market.  The Group have focused over these years on the Joomla-CMS resulting in the establishment of Centers of Excellence for CMS-Joomla Solutions in Netherlands, Singapore, Bali and Northern America and we have provided over 700 websites in these years based on the Joomla-platform. A global reaching Allied Partner Network, with specializations in specific segments provides us with the knowledge we lack in these segments by ourselves. We have a bright crew on board but do not pretend to be specialists in every segment. A global network as established over the years benefits our clients who do not have to perform "window-shopping" to get their requirements realized"

The GWS-Group provides 24/7/365 services in all time-zones around the globe with a team of dedicated an specialized technicians. Lammerink: "The change of (brand) name will only benefit our clients. We will be able to enter markets now where we were not welcome because of our brand named link to "only" Joomla and Mambo. Our staff members are being trained at present in other CMS solutions such as Drupal and we also hiring specialists in Wordpress. phpBB and SMF for instance. The added knowledge and options to our services portfolio will only benefit our clients since we will be able to provide a broader solutions portfolio to the market and thus to our end-users with their ever growing requirements.

The decision to withdraw support for the Mambo-CMS solution was taken on simple reasons of efficiency and commercial incentives. Lammerink: " Mambo has been in the past an important source of income for our organization. Many users though have moved to other platforms mainly Joomla because of its compatibility options. We have simply not enough business income to source this market any longer and therefore we decided that the branding needed a change as well".

To its Joomla customer base Lammerink emphasizes: "Rest assured though that Joomla will be a major  part of our operations now and in the foreseeable future. Our rebranding will benefit our clients in every way!"

Accompanied with the rebranding, the company has introduced and launched  "Our-Church" packages, with a focus on Church- and Congregation communities (see http://ourchurch.info) and the complete new concept of OSAM, which represents a full Hosting CMS Solution: Operational System Application Management portfolio, providing full serviced and managed hosting combined with CMS scripting outsourced (webmaster) Management. The formal launch of OSAM is expected 1st of August next.
