GWS-Host.com create daily/weekly and monthly backups for all our clients and you are able to download weekly and monthly backups from your cPanel interface to your hard-disk or your flashdisk.

But what when abolute disaster strikes and the datacentre burns down or the server as well as the backup disk breaks down? How big will your financial losses be in case you have coincidentally forgotten to download your backup that week? Are you able to recover your losses? Are you able to recreate that large website once again? How much money will you throw away?

G-Guard Remote Backup and Restore

G-Guard is a Backup solution to perform daily remote backups with little resource usage to an off-site facility. We do all the work for you and automate this process on our servers via Rsync methods.

How does it work?

Rsync greatly improves efficiency when compared to traditional remote backup methods. By synchronizing only those files that have changed since the last backup, using Rsync results in large bandwidth savings. When combined with on-the-fly compression, performing daily Rsync backups results in less data transfer than it would take to perform two backups using the .tar.gz method in a given month. Your bandwidth will not be tarnished by this process since this process occurs on server-wide level.

So you will always have up-to-date daily backups on a remote location which we can restore free of charge for you at one of our other servers when disaster strikes
